What is Working Memory? Our working memory is our innate ability to remember and manipulate information within a short-term duration to respond to a given task. The difference between short term memory and working memory is that short term memory focuses on the storing of data after a recall. On the other hand, working memory is the active encapsulation of data as you are holding the data mentally and encoding it to repeat it afterwards.

In example, if you were given the digits 4233-4834, your brain would immediately process those digits mentally in the process of, 4-2-3-3, 4-8-3-4, or by chunking them together, 4233,4834. The short term memory now takes place of that aftermath where you now simply save it in your memory.

The important nuance to consider however, is how training your working memory also trains your short, and potentially long-term memory due to strengthening the activation of your prefrontal cortex, which is essential for your brain health.

The most common example for Dual back would be to incorporate sound and position. Whilst tri would also include shapes, then quad including color. In addition to the variants, the difficulty meter will be based on the difficulty for each variant on my original scale. Consider higher variants are prone to be significantly more difficult given a more exposition of stimuli, regardless of minimal trials.
